an end to april
it's over
A collection of random thoughts as the months change again.
A poem on driving yourself insane
My brain in scrambled, my head is mush
I wish the voice inside would shush
A word-salad related to feeling pressure
Pressure is about time, about having a limited amount of time to do things. It’s about there being consequences if you don’t act right now. Feeling pressure is about feeling like you’re running out of time. Like an hourglass of sand almost gone. Putting yourself under pressure is a tool. It gives you a force to apply, to help you get things done. But you need to know how to use that force in such a way that you can hammer it. Otherwise you have a hammer with no nails, so you just hammer yourself.
A poem based on this morning
I woke up feeling so angsty and mad, like everything I’d done and was doing was bad. It was misty and foggy, but behind the cloud, I could make out the shape of something quite proud. It was the SUN! And it shone o so brightly. O how the sun clears the fog and makes me feel so sprightly! O how the sun reminds me to take things more lightly! When I get so uptight, may I always look around, and see that life is, and always will be, a bloody playground
Thoughts on the future
Stress less DANCE more
Make myself laugh rather than make myself sore
Make things simple rather than hard
Stop being so angsty, this isn’t diehard
